High-altitude elegance at the foot of the Andes
Valle de Uco is Mendoza's most exciting frontier — a vast, high-altitude valley stretching south from the city at elevations of 1,000 to 1,500 metres. The extreme altitude amplifies everything: the sunlight is more intense, the nights are colder, and the resulting wines have a freshness and precision that sets them apart from lower-altitude Mendoza.
The valley is divided into three sub-zones — Tunuyán, Tupungato, and San Carlos — each with its own character. Tupungato, the highest, produces wines of extraordinary finesse and longevity. The landscape here is breathtaking: snow-capped Andean peaks, poplar-lined irrigation channels, and vineyards that seem to stretch to the horizon.
High-altitude continental — extreme diurnal range, frost risk, intense UV
